Jerome, Idaho | Children's Photographer

I had a great time working with these little cutie-pa-tudies Saturday.  I was able to shoot for the 1st time with my new lighting set up and one of many new backdrops.  These kiddos were so funny!  I loved watching them come in so timid and within minutes being completely relaxed with me letting me pose them and take their pictures.  Here's my 2nd shoot in the new studio.

Bribery! It's a good thing! We all know 2 year olds have a mind of their own. I should know..... I've had 3 of them. :) Mom handed little man her iphone and we were able to capture his favorite pass time. It was great!  Check out that little smirk on his face!  He was watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

I absolutely ADORE this shot!  I'm pretty sure I will be mounting it huge in my studio for all the world to see!Photobucket
I love that mom brought in their favorite books to create a sentimental image.

I'm loving being in the studio and am so excited to what I now have to offer all of you!  I'm open by appointment only but, I'd love for you all to stop by and check us out!  Give me a call and I'll let  you know when I'll be in the office.  Down the road I'll be there for set hours and certain days of the week.  But, for now this is what works best.  Thank You so much for all your referrals!  You guys are the best!  I just got to thinking I sure have used the word "love" a ton in this post!  What can I say?  It's been a great week and I'm a little on cloud nine this week.  Have a great Valentines Day weekend!

Jerome, Idaho | Sports Photographer

Phew!  We're all moved in to the studio!  We've been in for a week now and what I thought would be a slow month for us has been completely the opposite.  So far I've had 5 portrait sessions and 1 logo design in 8 days.  It's been wonderful!  One of my awesome mom's of the J-town Senior wrestlers asked me to add 2 more guys onto the picture we did a few months ago.  These guys were taken 3 different times & in 3 different lighting situations so, it was a challenge to get the lighting similar but, I did what I could to pull it off. Next time it will be great to just do them in the studio! Photobucket
Good Luck Seniors!  You guys have been great to work with!

Twin Falls, Idaho | Baby Photographer

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
I always feel a bit rusty when I haven't been around newborns for awhile.  I've been wanting to try the stork shot for awhile now.  Mom was off to the side of baby, dad was holding one end of the stick, my sitter was on the other end, I placed a big pillow on the ground just incase.  It pretty much scared me to death but, I'm happy with how it turned out.  Funny story about the baseball:  it kept rolling off the box before we could get the shot so, we stuck some gum under it to keep it in place.

Family Photographer | Idaho

While I was in Southeast Idaho several families booked to have their portraits done.  I spent the day in the old barn I grew up playing in.  I always say "the older the backdrop the neater the pictures."  This family traveled from Washington to be with their family for the Holidays.  I also photographed them July 2008 when they were in Idaho for a family reunion.  How neat it will be for them years down the road to see their family album full of family portraits taken each year!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I'm finally catching up my blog from all my shoots during the Holidays I did.  I met the Bangerter family in at one the new fancy-shmancy Hotels in Twin Falls before Christmas.  I love it when you guys get creative and have a new place you'd like to try for Family portraits.  This shoot made me want to get another studio light.... so, it's on it's way.  :)

Family Portraits

It was great to spend time with Jake & Danielle.  We haven't seen each other in 10.5 years.  Danielle and I were best friends when we were little.  I used to spend time with her family up in Star Valley, WY at their cabin when I was probably in 4th grade.  My first memory of Jake was we were in 6th grade and I found out his "real name" was Jacob.  I was shocked!  haha!
Their little girl is so beautiful and it was so neat to catch up with them since we've known each other for so long and to see both of their characteristics in their daughter.

Twin Falls, ID | Wedding Expo

Yay!!! We were on the news!!!!!  Check out this news clip.  Look for Brandi, the blue sky bride picture, and the black frames.

Twin Falls Wedding, Bridal & Party Expo

We had a great weekend meeting beautiful Brides to be at the Ballroom on Shoshone in Twin Falls, ID.
We met so many sweet brides and had a blast!
The event had 55 vendors.  I was lucky enough to have booked several weddings while we were there.  I am so blessed and honored that they interviewed and researched 6 other Photographers at the Expo and I was the lucky one they chose to work with.  I look forward to meeting each one of them and their fiance's at the *New Studio* in the upcoming weeks ahead.
Here are a few shots of our Spin Design Photographics booth.
One of the local TV stations came to the event and they video taped our booth for the news.

I have so many friends and family who helped me pull it all together and encourage me.  It wouldn't have been the same without each one of them.  Special Thanks to my dad for building my walls, my supporting husband & his friend for setting them up, my friends for their encouragement, Bev for creating the beautiful floral centerpiece, my in-laws for watching my 3 kids, my 2nd shooter and wonderful friend Brandi for working with me, my friends for showing their support by visiting the booth, my previous clients for allowing me to display their portraits, my awesome frame lady Lindsey AND last but, not least ALL the amazing brides that admired my work and booked their weddings, bridal sessions, and engagement sessions with Spin Design. I couldn't have done it without all of you! Thank You so much!

Jerome, Idaho | Family Portrait Photographer

I've had such a great time getting to know Misty and Brody this year.  I was lucky enough to do Brody's Senior pictures, a session with all of his best buddies, the J-Town wrestling team pictures and now their extended family portraits.  They are seriously so good to me!  I love working with them & I appreciate them so much!  Misty surprised me after their session with a handmade bracelet that I just LOVE!  She is so talented at making jewelry!  I had to go to the CSI craft fair to visit her booth and I just had to get the necklace that went with the gift she gave me.  I've only had them for a week and have worn them out 4 times.  lol!  I had a hard time choosing from everything she had made.  I love that these guys had the idea of mixing their pictures up a bit by bringing simple & quick wardrobe alterations.  The Santa Hats were so much fun!PhotobucketI just got my Christmas Card templates set up to use and had to throw this one in there because I thought it was so cute together.  Here are a few more of the entire family who were all together in Brody's honor earlier in the week to show their love and support for Brody who was sworn into the Army.  (Way to go Brody ~ and Thank You!!!)PhotobucketAnd this is Misty's beautiful sister Shelley's cute little family. Photobucket There were SOOOOOOO many excellent images from their session. They did a great job! Here are a few more of my favorites......Photobucket
Photobucket
And this one, I love this one.
PhotobucketP.S. Misty had entered one of her jewelry pieces in a competition at Michaels click here to give her your vote! I think I might just need that necklace. :-)  And when she gets her website up and running you'll have to go check her out!!!

Twin Falls, Idaho | Family Photographer

A 4:30 Session?  Is the sun really allowed to set that early?  Sheesh!
Regardless I always love shooting this family in all their cuteness!
I loved that they asked me to come out to their house to do them.
It really does add that personal touch and emotional tie to their portraits.

This lovely family invited me over to their property to do their portraits.  I had a fun time getting to know them and enjoyed the challenge of working with the morning light.  (It's so different than afternoon and evening light in my opinion).  Here are a few fun ones to share!

Twin Falls, Idaho | Family Photographer

This seems to be the "Hot Spot" this year!
Most have my clients have chose Centennial Park as their choice location this year.  It is so beautiful in the fall & summer.  The other day we sat in line while 3 photographers took turns photographing down the trail.  :-)  One of the best compliments I can receive is repeat customers.  I've photographed this little family 3 years in a row.  It's no neat to work with them year-after year!

Jerome, Idaho | Senior Portrait Photographer

It's been a challenge working with the HS Seniors trying to fit pictures in around sport practices.  This session was scheduled for 6:00 right after he got out of Football practice.  I was so excited to be able to work with the sunset to play around with what sort of images we would end up with.

4 Years in a row • Twin Falls, ID Family Photographer

The past 4 years I've been lucky to photograph these girls.  They are so much fun to photograph, there is always lots of laughing involved!  They have 3 other siblings who are away at college so, they got lots of attention tonight.
They wanted to get some neat train track pictures for their yearly shoot and hopefully I delivered.
It's been neat to watch them grow into the beutiful young women that they are!

Twin Falls • Family Photographer

We went down to the Snake River Canyon to take pictures of this cute little family lastnight.
It was pretty cold outside and the kids did awesome considering that their little fingers were freezing!
Sunday we got a few inches of snow and I was so glad it melted for our October session!
It was great to see Makayla again & meet her beautiful little family!
We went to school together growing up way back when hyper color shirts were cool.  lol!
